Coquille River Lighthouse
Bandon, Oregon
Located in Bullards Beach State Park, 2 miles north of Bandon on the north bank of the Coquille River. Commissioned in 1896 to guide mariners across a dangerous bar. Decommissioned in 1939, following improvements to river channel and other navigational aids, it was restored in 1979 as an interpretive center.
There are nine Lighthouses open to the public along the Oregon coast, and one that is a private residence. I have currently completed renderings of 5 of these lighthouses, and hope to complete the series over the next few months. Check back often, as I will be adding them to these pages as they are completed. Lighthouse portraits make excellent gifts for all occasions. Look for your favorite lighthouse or collect the whole series. My Lighthouse note cards are available as a package of 10 cards of the featured lighthouse, or as an assortment, each package containing 2 each of the 5 completed renderings.
Please visit the "Products" section of this website to view the various fine wood products and trivets that feature laser-engravings of these renderings. I will also be adding these images to my CafePress storefront, where you will be able to order T-shirts, mousepads, calendars and more.
