Castle Hill Lighthouse
Newport, Rhode Island
Located at Castle Hill Point, marking the east side of the entrance to Narragansett Bay. The Castle Hill Lighthouse is built right into a cliff face, and almost appears as a natural feature of the landscape. The lighthouse was completed in 1890, and commenced operation on May 1, 1890. The lighthouse is owned by the Coast Guard, and although the lighthouse itself is not open to the public, the grounds around it are easily accessible by footpaths in the area.
Lighthouse portraits make excellent gifts for all occasions. Look for your favorite lighthouse or collect the whole series. My Lighthouse note cards are available as a package of 10 cards of the featured lighthouse, or as an assortment, each package containing 1 each of 10 different renderings. I now have two assortment packages of lighthouses available. Assortment #1 includes all of the Oregon Coast lighthouses, and Assortment #2 includes Washington and East Coast lighthouses that I've completed thus far. These assortments will be changing as I add more lighthouses to the collection.
Please visit the "Products" section of this website to view the various fine wood products and trivets that feature laser-engravings of these renderings. I will also be adding these images to my CafePress storefront, where you will be able to order T-shirts, mousepads, calendars and more.
This portrait of "Castle Hill Lighthouse" is now available on FineArtAmerica as Quality Giclee Prints of various sizes on Archival Matte Paper or Canvas, and as fully customizable 5" x 7" Folding Greeting Cards. Other options available include Matting, Framing, and Stretching of Canvas if necessary. This link will take you to my Profile Page, where you can preview this image, as well as all of the others that I've uploaded thus far.
