Loggerhead Key Lighthouse
Dry Tortugas National Park, Florida
Located on Loggerhead Key, the westernmost key in Dry Tortugas National Park. The lighthouse was first illuminated on July 1, 1858. Loggerhead Key, as the name implies, is a nesting place for the Loggerhead Turtle, and they return to the island each year to lay their eggs. In 1992, Loggerhead Key was included in Dry Tortugas National Park, and the grounds are open to the public, but the tower is not.
Lighthouse portraits make excellent gifts for all occasions. Look for your favorite lighthouse or collect the whole series. My Lighthouse note cards are available as a package of 10 cards of the featured lighthouse, or as an assortment, each package containing 1 each of 10 different renderings. I now have two assortment packages of lighthouses available. Assortment #1 includes all of the Oregon Coast lighthouses, and Assortment #2 includes Washington and East Coast lighthouses that I've completed thus far. These assortments will be changing as I add more lighthouses to the collection.
Please visit the "Products" section of this website to view the various fine wood products and trivets that feature laser-engravings of these renderings. I will also be adding these images to my CafePress storefront, where you will be able to order T-shirts, mousepads, calendars and more.
This portrait of "Loggerhead Key Lighthouse" is now available on FineArtAmerica as Quality Giclee Prints of various sizes on Archival Matte Paper or Canvas, and as fully customizable 5" x 7" Folding Greeting Cards. Other options available include Matting, Framing, and Stretching of Canvas if necessary. This link will take you to my Profile Page, where you can preview this image, as well as all of the others that I've uploaded thus far.
